About Us
The San Francisco Mindfulness Foundation
is a non-profit organization [501(c)3, EIN 45-2702132] dedicated to providing educational and therapeutic programs to the community and to practitioners which promote the use of mindfulness practices to alleviate suffering associated with, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, stress, and addictions; with a special interest in alleviating the suffering associated with addictive behaviors.

Scott Lauzé MD is a psychiatrist in private practice in San Francisco. He is a co-founder of the San Francisco Mindfulness Foundation and teaches about the integration of mindfulness and psychotherapy, and has a special interest in addictions medicine.
Rev. Steven Tierney EdD, LPCC is a Buddhist Priest in the Soto Zen Tradition and is the co-founder of the San Francisco Mindfulness Foundation. Steven is a Professor of Counseling Psychology and the director of the graduate counseling psychology program at the California Institute of Integral Studies. He is also a Certified Addictions Specialist.
